So the project this weekend almost makes me think I need to take out a Payday Loan in order to cover all of my expenses of replacing the carpet we had downstairs. We are just running over budget with all of the little things we need to buy in order to complete this. I really would like it if home improvement projects would go over as easily as getting a
Auto Loans. Those just seem to go snap boom bam and you are done. Not like the flooring project we have just been running into expense after expensie that we keep having to spend more money on in order to fix stuff... and we have not even started laying the floor!

So the Flooring project is not going as planned. We have run into a couple of issues in our pursuit of a new floor other than carpet. The carpet was taken out on Friday and I ended up having to leave early from work because they found water damage from the previous owners of the house. Upon coming home I was confronted with 3 pieces of subflooring that had to be replaced this was an unexpected cost.

I ended up going up to home depot to cost out what it would take in order to get some new flooring. I found out well I was at home depot that the flooring that I currently have is not the best. Its basically compressed saw dust with glue. I ended up getting a piece of laminate flooring to go over by the washing machine since that is where some of the damage took place before it holds up better to water than the other stuff. The other piece that had to be replaced was a solid sheet so that was not that bad.

The piece by the washer had to be cut into an "L" shape in order to replace the two pieces that we took out. All in All not that bad.
